Agreement on the Buildings Directive
New energy efficiency targets for buildings
In the wake of the 2015 Paris Agreement, the EU established a new climate target for 2030: the Union aims to reduce its net greenhouse gas emissions by 55 per cent by 2030 compared to the base year 1990. Part of the so-called "Fit for 55" package is the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), which was adopted on 12 April 2024. The EPBD sets ambitious targets for the energy efficiency of buildings, including an average reduction of 16 per cent in the energy consumption of residential buildings by 2030 and 20 to 22 per cent by 2035.
Energy-efficient chassis for HVAC systems can play a crucial role in achieving these goals. RUCH NOVAPLAST products not only offer the highest quality and reliability, but also remarkable energy efficiency. By using innovative materials and technologies, our chassis help to significantly reduce energy consumption in buildings, which in turn contributes to a reduction in CO2 emissions.
In addition, we can use our Product Carbon Footprints calculator to forecast the CO2 emissions for different mouldings, thus helping companies achieve their sustainability goals.
