Ventilation unit with a sustainable character

When Zehnder Group Germany developed a new central comfort ventilation unit for apartments, vacation or student apartments, the focus was on integrating even more environmentally friendly components in order to improve the ecological footprint of the overall unit. Our contribution to this included the manufacture of the housing for the ventilation unit and the production of an installation box for wall-integrated flush-mounted installation.

The challenge was to make the production of the molded parts made of EPP as environmentally friendly as possible without neglecting the technical requirements. The solution for this project lay in a well thought-out choice of materials and the design of highly efficient foaming tools.

The installation box is made from sustainable confetti material, while the housing is produced using a High Efficiency Tool (H.E.T.). Both elements contribute significantly to the fact that the ecological footprint of the ventilation unit is significantly lower compared to other models.

In addition to the integrated fastening elements in the housing, we also take care of other important assembly steps to ensure that the end product meets the highest quality standards.
