Ventilation Unit with Sustainable Character
During the development of a new central comfort ventilation unit for apartments, holiday homes, or student apartments by the Zehnder Group Germany, the focus was on integrating more environmentally friendly components to improve the unit's overall ecological footprint. Our contribution included manufacturing the housing for the ventilation unit and producing an installation box for wall-integrated flush mounting.
The challenge was to make the production of the EPP molded parts as ecological as possible without neglecting technical requirements. The solution for this project lay in a well-thought-out material selection and the construction of highly efficient foaming tools.
The installation box is made from sustainable confetti material, while the housing is produced using a High Efficiency Tool (H.E.T.). Both elements significantly contribute to reducing the ecological footprint of the ventilation unit compared to other models.
In addition to integrating fastening elements into the housing, we take on other important assembly steps to ensure that the final product meets the highest quality standards.
