1. novembre 2023Maintenance-friendly EPP chassis for more efficient server cooling
Liquid Cooling Packages (LCP) ensure that servers do not overheat in their cabinets. Rittal opted for an EPP chassis from RUCH NOVAPLAST to optimize the airflow of these server air conditioning units and to improve ease of installation and maintenance.
Thanks to the EPP chassis, the fan modules can be replaced without tools, as the components are not screwed into place but inserted into specially designed recesses. Behind this is the ingenious NOVAplex® design concept. The resilience of the EPP particle foam is of enormous value. Similar to chocolates in a box of chocolates, the components find their place inside devices of all kinds. They are held securely in place without the need for additional fastening elements. The result is clarity inside the appliance, not to mention the potential savings in the procurement of C-parts and in assembly.
This design not only ensures optimum accessibility for maintenance and service from the front and rear, but also saves an enormous amount of space. The narrow width of 300 mm, for example, makes the LCP DX ideal for planning and cooling small and medium-sized server rooms.
The LCP extracts the air from the side at the rear of the server enclosure, cools it via high-performance compact coils and blows the cooled air back into the front part of the server enclosure from the side.
