Components made from the sustainable material ARPRO 35 OCEAN are recognizable at first glance. The striking green color of the material results from the recycled parts of old fishing nets and ropes that flow into the material.
Specialized recycling companies around the world collect maritime waste from ports, net makers and plastic disposal companies. These materials undergo a complex processing procedure: they are carefully sorted, fractionated, cleaned, separated and dried before finally being processed into high-quality plastic granulate. The granulate produced is used by JSP International, among others, for the production of ARPRO 35 OCEAN.
According to JSP, a recycled content of 15 percent of waste from the maritime industry represents the optimum ratio between recycled and new material in order to guarantee certified quality standards: the material properties and processing of the sustainable EPP meet the standard of virgin material. The particle foam also meets the requirements for technical lightweight construction applications*.
It is particularly noteworthy that molded parts made from ARPRO 35 OCEAN material are 100 percent recyclable.
