Finishing surfaces: versatile and attractive
When it comes to surface finishing, RUCH NOVAPLAST implements different variants depending on the requirements and the application. But why is the finishing step important at all? Molded part surfaces on which the structure of the particle foam, steam nozzles and parts of the mold technology can be seen are not tolerated in every application. That is why it is important to create beautifully shaped surfaces that are also pleasing to the touch. In addition to back-foaming decors, PUR lamination and skinning, it is also possible to paint the molded parts. Here we use a high-adhesion coating that bonds exceptionally well with the mechanical properties of the elastic particle foam. We can also enhance the coated surfaces with antibacterial properties or make them EMC-active. This physiologically harmless coating can be used in hospitals, retail fixtures, and medical devices.
NOVAtexture® is another innovative solution for surface finishing of particle foam molded parts. Targeted surface texturing creates beautifully shaped and functionally textured surfaces that significantly improve the appearance and feel of the components. This technology makes it possible to refine molded part surfaces during the production of the molded parts – without additional work steps.

NOVAtexture® has a number of functional advantages
Thanks to NOVAtexture®, particle foam molded parts are not only visually impressive, but also offer functional benefits such as improved adhesion for painting EPP or optimized grip. Surface texturing opens up a wide range of possibilities for perfectly adapting molded parts to the requirements of modern applications, whether in medical and analytical technology, building technology or other areas that require high-quality surfaces.
Versatile applications for NOVAtexture® surface finishing
NOVAtexture® offers a wide range of applications. We use it across various industries and for different components. By applying laser texturing or etching to the aluminum surface of the foam molding tool, we can create a wide range of surface structures. Particularly in the case of molded parts made of EPP, particle and gusset boundaries are concealed by the textured surface, resulting in a particularly attractive and technical appearance.
The catalog of options for existing surface textures is constantly growing and allows a great deal of creative freedom. If that’s not enough, you can also create your own structures, for example based on the company logo.
