Creating well-shaped and homogeneous surfaces
The particle and gusset boundaries are usually visible in moulded parts made of EPP. By structuring the surface, these boundaries are dissolved, concealed and a technical surface is created that is second to none.
To ensure minimum steam permeability in the foaming process, the mould wall must be perforated with fine drill holes or small steam nozzles. The etching/texturing should be as coarse as possible in order to create the desired optical effect.
