High quality components made from maritime waste

News (en)

Components made from the sustainable material ARPRO 35 OCEAN are easily recognizable at first glance. The material’s striking green color comes from the recycled portions of old fishing nets and ropes that are incorporated into it.

Specialized recycling companies collect maritime waste worldwide from harbors, net makers, and plastic disposal companies. These materials undergo a complex processing procedure: they are carefully sorted, fractionated, cleaned, separated, and dried before finally being processed into high-quality plastic granules. The granules produced are used, among other things, by JSP International for the production of ARPRO 35 OCEAN.

According to JSP, a recycling content of 15 percent maritime waste represents the optimal balance between recycled and new material, ensuring certified quality standards: the material properties and processing of the sustainable EPP meet the same standards as new material. Additionally, the particle foam meets the requirements for technical lightweight applications.*

What is particularly noteworthy is that molded parts made from ARPRO 35 OCEAN are 100 percent recyclable.
