NOVAweld®: Our innovation for the material-bonded joining of molded particle foam parts
With NOVAweld®, RUCH NOVAPLAST is setting new standards in the material-to-material joining of particle foam molded parts. This process makes it possible to join complex components with reduced tool complexity. The result is a material bond that can no longer be separated non-destructively. The specific properties of the molded parts are retained.
In the thermal joining process, the surfaces of the molded parts to be joined are heated using a heating element so that the particle foam plasticizes at this point. The molded parts are then welded together at the melted joining surface.
In this way, we achieve a stable material bond between the components – without the use of chemicals such as primers, bonding agents or other foreign materials. It is a single-material solution that is permanently tight and reproducible. This is particularly important in areas such as building technology or medical and analysis technology.
NOVAweld® as a flexible solution for the production of enclosure systems
NOVAweld® offers numerous other advantages: The method is an automated and more economical process that enables savings in the procurement of foaming tools. For example, we can eliminate undercuts, thus avoiding sliders and achieving cost savings.
Furthermore, thanks to this innovation, we can develop particle foam parts that cannot be produced conventionally due to their dimensions or geometry. NOVAweld® is an economical, automated and flexible solution that creates new possibilities for the production of complex housing systems.
